Navigate to huggingface.co/chat where your conversations are displayed in the sidebar.

The extension automatically detects and displays all your conversations, organized by date.

Click individual conversations or use "Select All" to choose which ones to export. Filter by Today, This Week, or This Month.

Select JSON for raw data or PDF for formatted output. Click Export and your file downloads instantly.

What Data We Collect

HuggingFace Chat Export collects the following data:

  • Chat conversation IDs from the HuggingFace sidebar
  • Chat message content (only when you choose to export)
  • Conversation metadata (titles, timestamps)

How Data Is Stored

All data is processed locally in your browser. Exported files are saved directly to your device using Chrome's downloads API. No data is transmitted to external servers.

Data Sharing

We do not collect, transmit, or share any user data with third parties. The extension operates entirely within your browser and only communicates with HuggingFace's official API.

Permissions Explained

  • downloads — Save exported PDF or JSON files to your device
  • activeTab — Access the current HuggingFace chat page to extract conversation data
  • scripting — Parse the sidebar to discover available conversations
  • storage — Temporarily store data between popup and PDF converter
  • host permissions — Fetch conversation data from HuggingFace's API
