What Data We Collect

Chill for 5 mins stores the following data locally on your device:

  • User preferences (time limits, settings, enabled state)
  • List of tracked websites you configure
  • Time spent on tracked websites during active sessions

How Data Is Stored

All data is stored locally using Chrome's storage.local API. No data is transmitted to external servers. Your browsing information never leaves your device.

Data Sharing

We do not collect, transmit, or share any user data with third parties. The extension operates entirely offline and makes no network requests.

Analytics

This extension does not include any analytics, tracking pixels, or telemetry. We cannot see how you use the extension.

Permissions Explained

  • storage — Save your settings and time data locally
  • tabs — Detect when you switch tabs to pause/resume timers
  • activeTab — Read the current URL to check if it's a tracked site
  • alarms — Update the badge icon periodically
  • host permissions — Inject the blocking overlay on tracked sites
